Delavilla is known as THE French Porsche tuner. The brand unveiled the Cayman VRC to the general public in October 2009, following on from the limited 911 VRS series with its 21 entirely unique models.</p>
<p>The Cayman VRC has been a resounding success. As with the 911 series, the bodywork has been extensively redesigned. The front panel is equipped with specific air inlets, a 997 GT3 style upper grill, new fog lights and LED daytime running lights. The rear panel is fitted with the four vertically superposed exhaust pipes that are characteristic of the DELAVILLA brand. The large rear spoiler adds a powerful aesthetic to the overall architecture of this innovative model. Several “Additional Customisation Packs” are also available.</p>
<p>Concerning the mechanics, the engine configurations previously only available for the R1 are now available for the VRC. The engine capacity is increased to 3.8l and power levels to 340 or 385 hp. A range of different exhaust pipes, controllers, intakes, filters and suspensions are available for you to choose from to give your car its own unique character.</p>

<p>All DELAVILLAs can now be fitted with 19’’ forged wheel trims produced by the brand. Their unique design represents five DELAVILLA logos side by side. Like the 911 VRS, the Cayman VRC can be equipped with scissor doors, an original system that is a favourite with the French tuner.</p>
<p>The final individual touch can be found in the list of DELAVILLA branded accessories: Made-to-measure luggage, mats, dial colours, stickers, aluminium pedals etc. Body kit base price is : €8,500 ex.VAT. and free shipping.</p>

<p>A network of DELAVILLA distributors is being set up in Europe, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Asia to market the brand’s vehicles and the whole range of DELAVILLA accessories (mechanical parts, bodywork and interior, luggage, sports clothing, watches etc.) that tell the story of the concept.</p>
<p>Two new models are also planned for 2012, the CAYENNE 4X4 and the PANAMERA saloon. </p>

<p>It is the latest model in the DELAVILLA range: A Cayman with an entirely new silhouette and exceptional finishing. “The R1 stands out with its all new bodywork and improved technical performance”, explains Michel Bendinelli, Chairman of DELAVILLA SAS. “That is why we consider it as a Cayman… revealed!” Indeed, the R1 is an enhanced version of the original model and will seduce all lovers of exceptional vehicles.</p>

<p><strong>A new silhouette</strong></p>
<p>The Cayman’s bodywork has been completely overhauled. The use of cutting edge tools and techniques (3D CAM software, for example) has made it possible to create the different components under optimal conditions, with the highest quality of manufacturing and top-of-the-range aesthetics.</p>
<p>With additional width of 12 cm at the front and 18 cm at the rear, the R1 has a more aggressive and sporty silhouette, whilst preserving the family feel of the original model. At the front, the bumper has a new, dynamic profile with LED lights and special fog lights.</p>
<p>As for all DELAVILLA models, the rear is equipped with the brand’s emblematic four vertical exhaust pipe, above a wide air outlet, symbolic of the new look model. The side panels are reminiscent of the “PORSCHE Carrera GT“ equipped with the large air inlets required to cool the internal mechanics of this type of vehicle. </p>

<p>The client can take the personalization of their DELAVILLA even further by choosing from a list of 34 additional options. These include lambo doors, fingerprint recognition and transparent engine cover.</p>
<p><strong>New power levels</strong></p>
<p>This is one of this model’s unique specificities. The R1 offers the option of 3 power levels, above and beyond those offered by the manufacturer: the first configuration offers 340 hp, the second 385 hp and the last up to 420 hp (only for track racing). This means the R1 offers absolutely exceptional levels of performance, which live up to the remarkable potential of its chassis. “These power levels take the vehicle to a whole new level and exploit its full potential,» explains Michel Bendinelli. In short, the R1 is a truly new approach to the Cayman and its capacities.</p>

<p><strong>About DELAVILLA</strong><br />
The 911 VRS in 2007, followed by the Cayman VRC in 2009 were the first DELAVILLA branded cars. The brand has now given its name to a new French company, officially set up in June 2011. DELAVILLA SAS is now structured so as to develop the concept of bespoke cars, “made in France”, based on the models in the Porsche range.</p>
<p>The DELAVILLA concept has not changed since the conception of the very first vehicle in 2007; each car is unique, with its own silhouette and made-to-measure accessories. Today, three models feature in the catalogue, the 911 VRS, the Cayman VRC and the R1. The end of 2011 will see the unveiling of the Speedster VRS (currently in production). Development will continue with the Cayenne and the Panamera. This is therefore a very busy time for DELAVILLA SAS with the brand on display at trade fairs across France and Europe.</p>
<p>The arrival of the R1 marks another step forward for the French brand in the world of tailor-made motor cars.</p>

<strong>63.498 kilometer long-term test for the TECHART Individualization Program.</strong> „OE quality in every detail“– the core of the TECHART principle was demonstrated in an impressive way. The first time in the German automotive history a Porsche refiner met the challenge of a long-term test – and the TECHART Individualization Program for the Porsche Cayman S completed the test successfully. </p>
<p><strong>First test passed before kilometer one</strong><br />
In terms of design values, the TECHART Program convinced the test jury even before the start of the long distance test. The elegant Aerodynamic Kit I front spoiler is smoothly integrated into the shape of the bumper and embodies pure sportiness at the first glance. Flow-optimizing side skirts enhance the dynamic aspect profile. A roof spoiler and a rear bumper with integrated diffusor guarantee more driving stability at the upper limits of performance. TECHART 20-inch forged alloy wheels complete the first visual impact of the car. </p>
<p>In the interior of the car TECHART sets no limits in the realization of high class refinement. Selected materials, tastefully coordinated colors as well as sport pedals and the TECHART sport steering wheel let the driver feel comfortable – over thousands of kilometers. </p>
<p><strong>63.498 kilometer of permanent observation</strong><br />
A car with the TECHART Individualization Program is not only an optic highlight – it is also a masterpiece in terms of quality and technique. The sport auto editors assured themselves from this fact in a record-breaking 502 days long distance test.</p>

The test results of the sport auto editors are clear: the sports car with the TECHART performance kit has no lack of strength. A fantastic reliability, a low mileage and a service interval of 30.000 kilometers – the test result is confirming the TECHART principle: OE quality in every detail.</p>

<p><strong>TÜV certified Aerokits</strong></p>
<p>Both of the new Aerokits I+II from PU-RIM implement components that were tested in a wind tunnel to optimize their drag coefficients. In addition, the downforce on both axles is perceptibly higher. Essential Aerokit components are a front spoiler with a spoiler lip that match the body&#8217;s color, side sills, and a rear area that has been optimized in terms of both design and aerodynamics. The rigid rear spoiler and a rear apron with a diffuser look ensure greater stability at extreme speeds. Both models&#8217; exhaust systems add a sporty touch to the striking rear design. Two round TECHART exhaust tailpipes in glossy or black chrome handle the rear exhaust flow. In comparison to series models, the engine sound is more sonorous and hollow, though it yields to a powerful crescendo at the highest RPMs.</p>
<p><strong>New daytime running lights system in the Aerokit II</strong></p>
<p>A multifunctional daytime running lights system was developed for both TECHART&#8217;s Boxster-based Roadster design and its Cayman-based TECHART GT design. The LED system units combine daytime, idle, and parking lighting in a single cohesive housing. The different modules are elegantly integrated into the upper part of the front spoiler. The light intensity automatically adjusts to the selected driving lights setting. Moreover, the daytime running lights dim automatically when either of the turning signals is active to improve their visibility.</p>
<p><strong>Sporty chassis</strong></p>
<p>The performance spectrum of the new individualization options is also evident in the chassis of the Boxster and Cayman. The 19- and 20-inch aluminum wheels expertly transmit the power of these 2.9 and 3.4 liter engines to the road. The TECHART Formula, Formula II, and Formula III forged wheels both ensure abundant ventilation for the wheel arches and allow the braking systems to be seen. The tight alignment of TECHART&#8217;s set of sport springs directly permit any steering angles. Thanks to TECHART&#8217;s Vario and VarioPlus threaded suspension chassis, the models can be lowered up to 30 mm during assembly and optimally adapted to suit the individual demands for each vehicle. To ensure sufficient traction for this high-performance system, TECHART recommends the Conti Pneu Sport Contact 3.</p>
<p><strong>Exclusive interiors</strong></p>
<p>Because TECHART runs its own saddlery, it can offer a nearly limitless variety of custom interior designs. For instance, the interior can be completely outfitted with the finest leather and decorative seams in contrasting colors. Moreover, carbon interior packages I+II further expand the options for high-quality stylizing of all ornamentation. Additional accessories like aluminum sport pedals, a 3-spoked sport steering wheel, or illuminated entry sills with individual logos round out the diverse options for the design of the interior.</p>

Inden Design, a German tuning firm you should already know, couldn’t wait for the official Cayman S Sport to be revealed and they released a tuned version. . The new exhaust system fitted in the car – it looks awsome by the way – helped it push 19 more bhp to 314 bhp. </p>
<p>Apparently the exhaust flaps work with the control unit which works in conjuction with a small microprocessor. This processor is embedded in the system and is freely programmable.</p>
<p>A sports kit which one needs not tell you about as you can already see it yourself, lists 19-inch alloy wheels running on 235/35 R19 tyres on the front side and 305/25 R19 for the rear. H&#038;R height adjustable coil covers add to the performance package of this 3.4-litre Porsche.</p>

Gemballa has come out with a new car based on the Porsche 987-C Cayman S, and to compare them one needs to look no further than the movie Twins.  The Cayman S is like Danny DeVito to Gemballa&#8217;s Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Sure, DeVito&#8217;s character had redeemable attributes, but seriously, who would you pick in a race?</p>
<p>Or a fight to the death, for that matter&#8230;</p>
<p>The Gemballa GT 4.0L RS has a massive 4.0 liter engine, upped from the 3.4 liter capacity engine on the Cayman S.  Silver-toned carbon fibre gives this tuner an exquisite look without making it look tacky, and new front and rear spoilers really do look nice.  Appearance aside, these three elements likely combine to really make the GT 4.0L RS stand apart from its Stuttgart-bred relative.  20-inch black racing wheels surround a huge, perforated disc brake system.  Although the yellow brake calipers appear a little over-the-top when viewed individually, the car does benefit from a little bit of color.</p>

<p>We said, &#8220;a little bit of color.&#8221;  Not the blinding yellow and black Alcantara and carpet interior.  If there was anything wrong with this racehorse, its that inside it looks like a yellow dye-pack exploded in a bank robber&#8217;s high end getaway car.</p>
<p>Nonetheless, we wish we could take a more critical look at the car, but Gemballa has provided no specs or pricing for the vehicle.  Currently, the Gemballa GT 4.0L RS is not featured on the US, UK, and Aussie web sites of the company.  But you can see a little more of the car at gemballa.com.</p>

<p>Athletic beauty: The <strong>TechArt Widebody based</strong> on the Porsche Cayman S doesn&#8217;t only offer spectacular design but also extra driving fun and agility. After the huge success of the Widebody concept for the current Boxster generation, TechArt Automobildesign has now developed a wide body version for the mid-engine coupe. </p>
<p>With the add-on fender flarings on front and rear axle the TechArt Widebody is eight centimeters wider than the standard car. Â The front extensions donâ€™t only provide extra room inside the wheel houses but also improve the deventilation of the heated up air with their integrated wheel-house ventilation. The rear flarings are equipped with largely dimensioned air ducts to bring fresh air to the centrally placed engine.</p>
<p>Apart from spectacular, sporty design the TechArt designers of course paid attention to optimal aerodynamic efficiency. The TechArt front spoiler bumper reduces the lift at the front axle and improves the cooling of the front brakes with large air ducts. The TechArt rear apron with integrated diffuser rounds out the conversion. The tail of the car can be alternatively upgraded with the large TechArt GT sport rear wing or a subtle rear spoiler.</p>
<p>Extremely broad wheels and tires make the TechArt Widebody concept for the Boxster complete: Specially for this wide body version they developed custom-made versions of the one-piece TechArt Formula five spoke wheel. The front axle is equipped with wheels in size 8.5Jx20, the rear axle is equipped with 12Jx20 wheels. After extensive test drives, TechArt Automobildesign recommends ContiSportContact 2 high performance tires in sizes 235/30 ZR 20 front and 305/25 ZR 20 rear for the Widebody.</p>
<p>The height-adjustable TechArt sport suspension is specially set-up for these ultra-wide wheels and tires and the wider track of the car. The coil-over suspension doesn&#8217;t only provide an individual damping of the roadster but also lowers the two-seater car by some 25 millimeters. Cayman models with PASM system can be updated with the sporty set up TechArt VarioPlus coil over sport suspension. This suspension isn&#8217;t only adjustable in height but also in damping by a push on the button inside the cockpit.<br />
TechArt also offers engine tuning for the Widebody. The two watercooled six-cylinder boxer engines can be upgraded with the TechArt power kits. They each consist of a sport air filter and newly programmed engine electronics. The result: 15 hp / 11 kW extra power and optimized road performance.</p>

<p>Another performance option is the TechArt increase in displacement from standard 3,387 cm³ to 3,824 cm³. The increase is facilitated by a bore enlarged to 99 millimeters with the corresponding larger special pistons, and by the installation of a special crankshaft. The engine conversion further includes sports camshafts. A modified intake manifold with special air filter system and an aluminum header provide ample combustion air. The perfect interaction of all these components including the fully stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with high-performance manifolds is orchestrated by new mapping for the engine electronics. With a maximum power output of 385 hp / 283 kW and a peak torque of 407 Nm the TechArt displacement engine satisfies both highly sporty minded drivers as well as those pilots who want lots of pulling power from low engine speed.</p>
<p>Powered by this engine, the mid-engine sports car offers excellent performance: The sprint from 0 &#8211; 100 km/h takes just 4.9 seconds, and with a top speed of 303 km/h the TechArt two-seater easily bests its production counterpart in this discipline, too. TechArt offers individual full leather trims in all colors and designs for the Widebody.</p>
