The latest update of the Porsche 997 turbo is an impressive performance-based vehicle, producing 500PS (368KW) and 650NM in standard form. RENM performance, known for their distinctive and unique designs, recently released their version of the Porsche 997 Turbo – the RM580.
The Porsche RM580 features a stage 2 performance upgrade that increases power output to 580PS (426KW) 800NM. The modifications enable the RM580 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h. According to RENM performance, the modifications rely on cutting-edge technology and engineering, which explains how the RM580 achieves such impressive performance figures.
The RM580 exhaust system is made from T309 stainless steel and uses sports catalytic converters with sound and performance valve control. The tuning programme comes with the choice of various suspension kits that lower ride and improve handling, also available for PASM fitted models.
RENM performance’s ‘subtle, understated, and aggressive’ design is evident in the RM580, which features exclusive and unique three piece forged wheels with titanium fasteners. The kit comes with the choice of carbon fibre interior inserts and revised steering wheel. In our assessment, the high quality components used in the RM580 programme are in-keeping with a performance vehicle of this calibre.
